CALLING ALL GREAT THINKERS, BLOOMING AUTHORS, AND CREATIVE SOULS!

Once again, this summer, we are offering book clubs and creative workshops for young people.  This is an opportunity for your child to get a jump on summer reading lists, to broaden enthusiasm in reading and writing over the long summer and to create in a safe and comfortable space.  Each workshop is lead by a dedicated staff member with a Masters in Education and Literacy and with many years of experience both in and out of the classroom.

Creative Gaming!
Entering Grades 2-3
Your child will create her own board game based on a summer reading book of her choice!  Together we will analyze the book for important characters, settings, tones and plot to plan out, work through and create a game that your child will take home with her!  Creative instruction, game kits (boards, game pieces, etc) and art supplies will be included.  Choose your own book based on your school's summer list.
Cost:  $35 for three one hour long sessions

Birds of a Feather Workshop
Grades 4-6
Your child will spend our time together outside enjoying nature as an inspiration for journaling, poetry and song.
In each session, we will learn the techniques of quiet observation, note taking, quick sketching and patience and then use what we've discovered as springboards for our own creations.
Join us each week or once.  Workshops include journal and artistic supplies.
